Some may not realize, but we have dogs in our unit that are trained to find people who have died. Whether it was a hiker that succumbed to the elements or someone that met an untimely death years ago. To be as useful as possible, it is important that our Human Remains Detection (HRD) teams understand as much as possible about what happens to our bodies when we expire, especially the impact an outdoor environment has on them. The training of the dogs and their handlers never ends.

Have I mentioned I LOVE this girl?! This is what it looks like when you run an urban Trailing problem, but forget her harness🤦‍♀️. I had to change up my line handling a bit, but she nailed it, even with my mistake 🥰
