One North Thrift is COMING BACK! We will reopen on June 19th, just in time for the Newville Fountain Festival!
It's been a wild and busy 5 months but thanks to an amazing group of generous volunteers, we made it and we are about to be back in business.
But first...we need some help restocking the store with all fresh merchandise and get it ready to shop. We have piles of donations ready to be sorted and readied to sell. Church groups welcome! Please reach out for more details or to lend a hand. May volunteer dates are posted below. Thanks so much for the support of the Newville community. 🥰

Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North has SKILLS. Thank you for spending 2 work days at the Launch Pad. Watching ya’ll problem solve is an education unto itself! And we appreciate every second. ❤️
Dan, Brian and Clarence solved our toughest old house plumbing mystery by opening up the front porch ceiling and repairing the drain…with many old house dilemmas along the way but they figured it out. Thank you for no more calls from the borough about our porch raining when it’s not raining.
Rob installed a new baseboard heater with less than an inch of wire coming from the wall. Repaired drywall and made our apartment lovely.
They also replaced paneling and plaster damaged during the fire efforts, built kitchen shelving where the wall oven once was and installed an access panel for the shower and restored rotten wood from an old downspout above the porch. Wow.
Sometimes thank you just doesn’t feel like enough. We felt this way in 2019 and we find ourselves feeling much like that again. ❤️
From the first work day, until now, we can’t thank you enough for your generous time and skill contribution to the Launch Pad and the warmth it gives Bethany and I to see each of you. Thank you. Again. 🚀 ❤️

Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North ❤️
Thank you for being our first volunteers circa 2019. Thank you for the 100s of hours to turn a vacant building into a home. Thank you for the demolition, replacing our windows, planing our doors, fixing the plumbing, installing finish trim, painting, painting, painting and all your hard work. And thank you most of all for believing in our mission and being the LP’s first friends.
Thank you for the invitation. It was a joy to see Juliet, Rob, Dan and Clarence again. Looking forward to a great weekend. Great to have you back. ❤️

Lia Fourlas, Executive Director of Launch Pad Foundation in Newville, gave us an update about her organization. It provides a bridge for young men coming out of foster care. We heard success stories about Alex and Michael and other young men ages 18-24 who need a hand up. Our Club helped with renovations to their building when they first opened in 2019 and we have a work weekend planned this weekend.
Thanks for what you are doing to help these young men get their lives launched in the right direction!
