Introducing the 2025/2026 Bucks County 4-H Ambassadors! This week meet Willow!

Hello! My name is Willow and I am in the Carrot Crunchers 4-H Rabbit and Cavy Club. I have 4 rabbits and one guinea pig. I love being in 4-H and meeting all the nice people with in the groups. The animals at grange fair and all the people that handle them are amazing to see when the fair comes around. I am very excited for this years grange fair and seeing all my friends and their animals. 4-H is a great experience for me and I think everyone should try it sometime. I look forward to being a 4-H Ambassador!

Woohoo Nancy!

It's time for our Pennsylvania 4-H Volunteer Spotlight! Each week, Pennsylvania 4-H highlights volunteers who are doing great work around the state.

Today, we are celebrating Nancy Ischinger of Bucks County!

Nancy brings creativity and heart to everything she does as the leader of the Bucks County 4-H Pet Club. Her approach centers on listening to her members and helping them shape their own 4-H experiences, whether that means trying a new project, exploring county events, or learning something entirely new.

Nancy has a special gift for working with Cloverbud members, guiding them with patience and joy while encouraging their curiosity. Her ability to make every meeting engaging and meaningful shows just how much she cares about helping young people grow through 4-H.

On May 17th, the Pronking Pacas 4-H Club hosted an Open House and alpaca show at Harley Hill Farm. The kids competed in showmanship and obstacles. It was a hot one, but a good time was had by all!

At the May Bucks County 4-H Swine Club meeting we started with the business meeting including the pledges, secretary report, and the treasurer report. And then the club leaders showed us the new club t-shirt design. After that swine club plates a game on breeds presented by a member. And we had presentations on the pig's digestive system and the diet of a pig.

Hi, my name is Payton Coleman and I am 11 years old. I have been in 4-H for 4 years. I show beef cattle and swine during fair. I am also a 4-H Ambassador and enjoy teaching other 4-H friends and getting new members to join.

At the May Bucks Clucks 4-H Club meeting we got together to discuss club business. After that we ended the meeting with a breed spotlight on a gold laced winedot mixed with a leghorn and a gold laced winedot mixed with an americana. And finally we had a chick minute which was on how to hatch chicks.

It’s been a great 6 weeks for the Bucks County 4-H Archery Club! Our members are excited and ready for the Southeast Regional 4-H Shoot!

Scales N’ Tails 4-H Club met at a local Bucks County park. We talked about grange fair, and some club members shared their posters about the life of a map turtle, spotted salamanders, ball pythons and a Caribbean hermit crab.

After, the club had a scavenger hunt and went down to the creek in the park. We saw tons of tadpoles a club member found two snakes. There were leopard frogs, fish, spiders and tons more. We had a fun time!
