๐บ๐ธ 25 YEARS LATER โ NEVER FORGET ๐บ๐ธ
On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced unimaginable tragedy. We remember the innocent lives lost, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage of our firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, military members, and ordinary Americans who became heroes that day.
But as the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 440 of Newtown, Pennsylvania, we also believe it is important to remember how America felt on September 12th.
We were Americans first.
Neighbors checked on neighbors. Strangers helped strangers. American flags flew proudly from homes and businesses. We werenโt focused on what divided usโwe stood together as one community and one nation.
Twenty-five years later, perhaps one of the greatest ways we can honor those we lost is to remember that spirit of unity.
Letโs get back to that.
Letโs look out for one another. Letโs support our neighbors. Letโs thank our first responders. Letโs honor our veterans and those who continue to serve. And letโs remember that there is far more that brings us together than separates us.
Today, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 440 โ Newtown, PA remembers all who were lost, all who responded, all who served, and all who sacrificed.
๐บ๐ธ Never forget September 11th.
And never forget the unity of September 12th.
United We Stand. God Bless America. ๐บ๐ธ
