Ohio Valley Pagan Society We are a spiritual organization supporting the pagan community throughout the Cincinnati Tri-State areas. We are not here to convert, we are here to teach.

We intend to bring together and network the local pagan community while presenting Paganism as a positive, life-affirming spiritual path. We have 2 main goals TRUTH & UNITY
Through TRUTH we hope to help educate the public on paganism. Dispel stereotypes, teach the difference between myths and reality, and to show that we are a valuable mix of cultural, religious beliefs. We are here to act diploma

tic towards those who are not pagan and those who seek to learn more about it. Through UNITY we work to bring together the pagan community. We do this through events and gathering. Most of which are free. We are more about the unity of the pagan community than we are about making a profit, which on its own is far more valuable. Our vision is to see the community support each other and give helping hand when needed. We now live in an age where we shouldn’t have to hide or be embarrassed of our beliefs. Through unity we strive to work together with all pagans of all traditions. We are not trying to compete with other organization but we want to support and offer encouragement with all pagan groups.

Concerning the future of Ohio Valley Pagan Society & the Witches Ball

Many of may have already heard
That I Brían Murchadh Morgan will be taking back control over the Witches Ball & OVPS.
While this is true, there's is some changes. For the past few years I've been a part of a fully functional nonprofit Raven Heart Hearth which is where my attention has been and why I tried to hand over OVPS.
The Witches Ball will now be run us at Raven Heart Hearth.

As for the future of Ohio Valley Pagan Society; I have decided to retire the organization and from here on it will only be the current Facebook group.
Everything I have tried to do with OVPS I've been able to accomplish with Raven Heart Hearth. We have an incredible team and we've been being well funded to support the community. While the group has primarily been focused on Druidry that doesn't mean we can't also support the larger pagan community. That's exactly part of what Druidry is about. So we will also be bringing back the Pagan Picnic this summer.

I know Cincinnati in general has suffered the lack of pagan gatherings like what we see in other cities, I hope we are able to fill that gap and help us all stand strong together and to let each other know that we have large pagan community here.

Night Five of Yule

By the fifth night, winter has wrapped itself fully around us. The dark no longer feels sharp, but deep and familiar, like an old cloak passed down through generations. The wheel has turned. The light has begun its quiet return, even if we greet it slowly, one small moment at a time.

In Celtic households long ago, this stretch of Yule was about closeness and continuity. Families stayed near the hearth, mended what needed care, and filled the long nights with stories and simple beauty. Children learned the old tales. Hands stayed busy with small crafts made from what the land provided. Love was measured in warmth, presence, and shared time.

Night Five reminds us that winter is not empty. It is full of togetherness.

This is a night to honor the people who make your days gentler. To cherish the comfort of familiar voices, shared laughter, and the steady rhythm of family life. The world outside may be cold, but within your circle, there is shelter, memory, and belonging.

Ways to observe Night Five of Yule:
• Create simple Yule crafts together, such as stringing dried oranges and cranberries, weaving greenery, or decorating branches with natural finds
• Tell stories by firelight, candlelight, or oil lamp, whether old myths, family memories, or tales made up together
• Light a candle for your household and speak gratitude for one another aloud
• Sit together quietly for a few moments, simply enjoying being near those you love

And if you are without loved ones this season, you need not feel alone. Sit with a fire or a candle. Drink in the peace of the night. Honor the turning of the wheel as you await the dawn anew. Your ancestors are always with you.

May your home glow warmly tonight.
May your stories bind past and present together.
And may each winter day ahead be softened by love, hearth, and the hands you hold dear.

Most folks don’t know this, but many Native Americans don’t “celebrate” Thanksgiving the way the rest of the country does. For us, it’s a National Day of Mourning. It’s a time to honor our ancestors, remember the truth of what happened on this land, and hold space for all the lives, cultures, and traditions that were nearly erased.

It’s not about guilt or pointing fingers. It’s about truth-telling. It’s about respecting the people who were here long before colonization, and acknowledging the pain, the resilience, and the stories that still deserve to be heard.

So while many gather for turkey and thanks, we gather in remembrance, in ceremony, and in strength. We honor our relatives who carried our traditions through generations of hardship. And we keep our culture alive by speaking openly about our history—because healing doesn’t happen through silence.

If you’re observing tomorrow, whatever that looks like for you, I hope you do it with awareness and an open heart. - PS- I personally love Thanksgiving dinner and I love hosting and cooking. For me it's a moment of gratitude and community. 🙏❤️🙏
