The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County fosters, strengthens, and promotes Bucks County’s diverse arts and cultural community and builds arts alliances while inspiring a vibrant and collaborative environment for regional artists and art enthusiasts. It was established in 1973 and re-envisioned in 2000 after the founding of the James A.

Meet Nicole Steinberg, one of our four readers featured Thursday, June 4, 7:00 pm at our first Pride Literary Salon.

Nicole is the author of Glass Actress (Furniture Press Books, 2017) and Getting Lucky (Spooky Girlfriend Press, 2013), and several chapbooks, including dear Elsie / seltzer (Bloof Books, 2023), Fat Dreams (Barrelhouse, 2018), and the upcoming Good Enough (Whittle Micro-Press, 2026). Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Newsweek, and Hyperallergic, and she was the 2021 Poet Laureate of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her family.

Meet Bill Hemmig, one of our four readers featured Thursday, June 4, 7:00 pm at our first Pride Literary Salon.

Bill's first short story collection, Americana: Stories, was published in 2023 by Read Furiously, who also published his novella, Brethren Hollow, along with three of his stories in their Life in the Garden State anthologies. His fiction has appeared in journals including The Madison Review, Philadelphia Stories, and Does It Have Pockets? His poetry has been featured in A&C’s 2025 “Thirty Days of Inspiration” series and in the Bucks County Herald’s “Poet’s Corner.”

Meet Sean Hanrahan (he, him, his), one of our four readers featured Thursday, June 4, 7:00 pm at our first Pride Literary Salon.

Sean is the author of Headless (2025 Collapse), Ghost Signs (2023 Alien Buddha), Gay Cake (2020 Toho), Safer Behind Popcorn (2019 Cajun Mutt) and and Hardened Eyes on the Scan (2018 Moonstone). His work has also been included in various anthologies and journals. He has taught classes and read at poetry events throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding area. He can be found on Instagram as gaycakepoet.
