This past weekend, our HEA community came together for a fun-filled Super Saturday packed with fall festivities! From racing through the bounce obstacle course, to decorating Halloween tote bags, and enjoying exciting activities with Coach B, there was no shortage of smiles, laughter, and memories made!

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make this event so special. Moments like these remind us that Horizons is more than a summer program — we’re a community that continues to grow, learn, and thrive together all year long! 💙

We’re so grateful to The Community’s Foundation (The Community's Foundation )and the Foundation for Delaware County (Foundation for Delaware County ) for their continued partnership and support of Horizons at The Episcopal Academy! 💙
We’re proud to be a 2026 recipient of the Partners in Giving program and incredibly thankful for their belief in our mission and the students and families we serve.

Support from partners like these helps us continue creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, build community, and experience the joy of learning.

Thank you for investing in our students and in a stronger Delaware County!

We loved seeing Horizons alum and PE Teacher Mo Bangura reconnect with Widener University President Dr. Stacey Robertson at Widener’s Involvement Fair to kick off the new semester!

Mo and Stacey Robertson recognized one another from their encounter during the Summer of 2025 when Dr. Robertson visited Episcopal Academy as a Board Member for Horizons Greater Philadelphia.

Reflecting on the event, Mo shared:

“The event gave me reassurance that aside from an academic standpoint, Widener wants students to get involved in their school. Some students even had an assignment for the fair to go and join some organizations and learn about the significance of what they bring to the school. It was a great way to get your face out there and network to the best of your ability.”

We’re proud to see our HEA alumni continuing to learn, lead, connect, and make their mark. It was a great reminder that the relationships built through Horizons can continue to make an impact long after the summer ends. 💙

We found an old video of our 8th graders giving a tour of Horizons EA in the archives…so of course we had to recreate it! Enjoy this fun trip down memory lane!😊

Last week, our middle school students took a trip to TGR Learning Lab for an exciting STEM experience!🚗

Students first learned the basics about the latest technology in today’s electric vehicles. They then put their knowledge into action by working in teams to build unique systems for makeshift cars. After their designs were complete, they tested their creations to see how well they performed, making for an interactive and collaborative learning activity.✏️💡
