On September 11, 2001, our country suffered an unprovoked terrorist attack on American soil the like of which have not been witnessed since Pearl Harbour. The attack on Pearl Harbor was directed at a military installation where 2,335 military personnel and 68 civilians lost their lives. The attack on the Trade Towers was a calculated attack at the very heart of our country and designed to murder as many innocent civilians as possible. During that horrific attack 2,753 Americans (men, women, and children) were killed to include 343 Fire Personnel and 60 police officers.

Although the victims of 9/11 weren’t serving in the military their lives were forfeited solely for being Americans and their sacrifice just like veterans should never be forgotten.
