Our Community Cup Coffee

Our Community Cup Coffee We roast coffee with kindness and brew a strong community by training people with disabilities. The place is now called the "Media Bean Café".

Our roasting business opened in August 2021 at the former Burlap and Bean in Newtown Square PA. It will also continue to be a music venue and carryon the Burlap and Bean tradition. This is the former Media Bean Company that was located in Media PA. We are roasting coffee with kindness and brewing a strong community, one cup at a time. Our mission is to employ and train people with disabilities. Ev

Our coffee price per pound is now $17. That's 16 ounces, not 12. Wholesale prices have also been adjusted. Sorry.

We had the pleasure of showing the students from the PATH program at Haverford High School all about coffee roasting on Monday. Everyone helped us by labeling bags and weighing out coffee for our customers. It was an enlightening time and we were happy to do some skills building.

The price of coffee is definitely up! And it varies with the coffee we purchase. For example, Guatemalan is up $.43 a pound. Ethiopian is up $1.14 a pound plus $.44 a pound TARRIF fee! Wherever you purchase your specialty organic fair-trade bird friendly certified coffee, you've seen the price increase. Even us! Sorry!
