Newton Theatre Company’s The Monologue Project: Voices of the Blind, Deaf and Physically Disabled will be an evening of original performance centered on lived experience, identity, resilience, and self-expression.

Through powerful storytelling and theater, this moving production creates space for voices too often overlooked to be heard, celebrated, and shared with the community.

Meet the recipients of the 2026 Nancy Quint Schön Arts Scholarship - Clare, Lucy, and Sadie are 3 talented students who will be pursuing the arts in higher education.

This week, Spark Newton Executive Director Leandra Sharron, Spark Newton Board members, and the NNHS and NSHS scholarship recipients met nationally renowned sculptor Nancy Quint Schön, whose iconic public sculptures can be found in Newton, across Boston and around the world. The 97-year-old artist shared stories from her remarkable artistic journey, gave a moving tour of her recent work, and offered heartfelt advice to the students about pursuing careers in the arts: stay resilient and keep creating even when the path becomes challenging.
