So happy to post that our banner to commemorate the 250th birthday of our great country, won a RED Ribbon in the patriotic category at the NJ State fair, Sussex County. It was an eight-month endeavor consisting of quilt squares for each of the thirteen colonies, all pieced and sewn together by our members. The stars, Great Seal of the USA, names of colonies and the dates they became states and 1776-2026 dates were machine embroidered then the entire banner was machine quilted by one of our members. Congratulations to all who worked and planned to bring this project to a successful completion.

Our chapter held a Windowpane Zipper Bag Workshop that included some ASG members and members of a local quilt guild.
We had such fun making these bags and learning a little quilting, piecing, working with vinyl, under stitching, and inserting zipper with zipper tabs. Some students learned how to use a serger to finish inside edges. Half the students walked away with a completed bag.
