Join our Bangladesh Country Manager, Dr. Md. Shahid, for another day of work inside Cox's Bazar, the largest refugee camp in the world.

Over a million people live here, with no access to running water or sanitation, and they also can't leave the camp to seek medical help. Most of the children here have never once seen a doctor.

We've visited this camp several times now, and so far, Helpster has funded treatment for over 150 children and young adults who needed urgent medical care.

We've treated infections, hernias, fractures, and countless other conditions that are easily curable with access to medicine, but can turn fatal in a place like this.

We believe access to healthcare should be a basic human right, which is why bringing medical help into the most vulnerable, underprivileged communities matters so deeply to us.

Some people can't just scroll past a hard story. They show up and help.

Helpster's August Volunteers of the Month are exactly that: a civil engineer from Nigeria, a data analyst from Kenya, and a healthcare professional from Bangladesh, who all share one important thing in common. Day after day, they give their own time and energy to genuinely change the world for the better, each helping save dozens of children's lives.

Usman Alhaji Tijjani runs a construction company in Nigeria, and since June 2025, he's spent his own time walking into hospitals and homes as a Helpster Volunteer, helping children who can't wait.

Masinde Milure is an expert in data analysis, and he brings that same sharp eye to every child's case he works on in Kenya, because he’s dedicated to saving children's lives.

ABM Alamgir is a healthcare professional with nearly 20 years of experience, and a deep passion for social-impact work. He helped vulnerable people through the COVID-19 pandemic, and again during the devastating 2024 floods in Bangladesh. He's been volunteering with Helpster since August 2025.

International Day of Charity isn't really about charities. It's about a choice: what you do with what you've been given.

Our founder, Nikita Kuzmin, put it simply: when entrepreneurs find success, they receive so much from the world, that it becomes a responsibility to put some of it back.

At Helpster Charity, that translates into one simple mission: giving access to free vital healthcare to every child, no matter where they were born or their financial situation. Because no one should lose their life over a medical bill they can't afford. That's the immediate problem we exist to solve.

But Nikita is also clear that charity alone isn't the whole answer to this problem. Governments, insurance companies, and the medical industry all have a role to play in making sure no child anywhere in the world is too poor to see a doctor.

Until that day comes, there's something you can do right now. Not eventually. Not once systems change.

384 children’s lives saved in August! That’s how many life-saving treatments we managed to fund last month, thanks to your support.

So we wanted to thank you, and introduce you to some of the children you helped save - as a reminder that every donation, every share, and every reaction on our posts turns into something very real.

These kids come from different countries, with different diagnoses and completely different stories. But they all have one thing in common: their life depended on a hospital bill their parents couldn’t cover.

Not because they were careless. In the vast majority of cases, it came down to a chain of unfortunate circumstances. One family lost their income when a parent got sick. Another lost their home in a flood. A third became refugees overnight. Hearing stories like these is a powerful reminder of just how fragile human life is, and how much it matters that someone reaches out a hand in moments like these.

Right now, our patient database holds 843 more children who need urgent, life-saving medical treatment their families can’t afford.
