The Newton Cares Classic was founded in 2019 to support United Way of Jasper County and other area non-profits. The golf tournament has developed into a top notch tournament featuring celebrity guests and tournament participants golfing together to raise funds for vital services helping Central Iowans. The event would not be possible without the support of Gregg Young Auto Center of Newton which has been the title sponsor since day 1. Please join us in welcoming back Steph Rich Dacey. Steph is an Iowa native who dominated high school basketball, was named Miss Iowa Basketball, went on to play at Wisconsin and holds a number of school records, coached college ball and has returned to Iowa to coach high school basketball and run a business. We are excited to have Steph join us.

We want to take a moment to shed the spotlight on our celebrity golfers who volunteer their time to support United Way of Jasper County and other Cental Iowa nonprofits. Please join us in welcoming back UNI Hall of Famer and former professional football player André Allen. André has not only been a golfer in our tournament, he participated in United Way's Spring Showdown Classic and was a guest speaker in our Voices program! He is also super helpful behind the seens. We are excited André is returning for year four of NCC fun and fundraising!

We want to take a moment to shed the spotlight on our celebrity golfers who volunteer their time to support United Way of Jasper County and other Cental Iowa nonprofits. Please join us in welcoming an Iowa legend XAVIER NWANKPA. Xavier is a Iowa Hawkeye and the highest rated recruit to ever join the Hawks. He had four incredible seasons and is now headed south to Kansas City with the Kansas City Chiefs!! We are excited to welcome him to his first Newton Cares Classic!!!

We are teaming up with the fine folks at Advantage Credit Union to bring a fun new event to the tournament. THE CASH BOOTH!!!!! Following the tournament one lucky player will get to grab for some cold hard cash!! Can't wait for this tournament and all the fun things we have planned!!!

We want to take a moment to shed the spotlight on our celebrity golfers who volunteer their time to support United Way of Jasper County and other Cental Iowa nonprofits. Please join us in welcoming an Iowa legend TIM DWIGHT. Tim holds the University of Iowa records for career punt return yardage and punt return touchdowns. He also has the Super Bowl record for the highest kickoff return average in a single game during Super Bowl ###II. Tim has played in 5 of our tournaments and helped with a number of other events. We are excited to welcome him back to Newton Cares Classic!!!
