Story Starters Story Starters equips families with strategies to raise children who have anti-racist values.

Story Starters uses children’s literature to support families in being color brave. We give families of all races age-appropriate tools and skills to preempt racial bias and build community change. Story Starters at-home curriculum supports 3-8 year olds and their families build empathy, support connection, and get into the habit of talking about race.

Yesterday was such a lovely morning back with Cambridge-Ellis School , gathered in the shade on a warm spring day, supporting families as they navigate conversations about immigration with their young children. It's bittersweet to say goodbye to the amazing families of our first-ever program in Melrose. We celebrated with a story shared by the fabulous Gwendolyn Wallace, and perhaps the most intense game of trivia we've ever seen! Thank you to Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church, Allison Balter-Scarlatos, Meghan Rosenberg and everyone who poured their hearts into this program.
