With LOTS of Sadness:

Due to the forecasted cold temperatures, we regret to inform you that the NCCO Handicap Hunt scheduled for Saturday has been canceled. The safety and well-being of our participants are our top priorities, and the extreme weather conditions pose potential risks. With the weather we have had this week we have been reminded just how cold 16 degrees is (which is the forecasted temperature for Saturday mornings hunt), and how we are not equipped to stay out in that cold of weather for an extended amount of time. Also, with the majority of our stands being in shaded areas we don’t want to take the risk of ice still being on stands and someone getting hurt entering/leaving a stand.
We appreciate your understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are already making plans to make next year’s hunt better than ever! Everyone stay warm and we can’t wait to see you for our 2024/2025 hunt!

Today we discussed several things regarding the hunt! We are currently monitoring the current weather, as well as Saturdays forecast. A decision will be made Wednesday on the hunt. As many of you understand safety is the 1st most important issue we take into consideration.

Please say a prayer for all the workers that will be dealing with keeping the roads clean, lights on, and water flowing as many of these guys are directly involved with our group!!!!

NCCO hunt will be held Jan 20th.

We have the past several years waited until the end of season in hopes of securing more Guides and land so that the Guide will have the Blessing while offering his/ her time and resources!
