Fundraising efforts are underway for the Veteran’s Memorial Monument planned for Veteran’s Section 3 at Union Cemetery. Local veterans groups and City staff have collaborated on a concept that includes three monoliths connected by a low brick wall. When Veteran’s Section 3 was platted, space was set aside for a future monument. Bricks on the wall will be available for purchase in honor of Jasper County veterans. Funds from brick sales and other donations will fully pay for construction. City funds will not be required, though Parks staff may provide in-kind support.

Hello! Passing on info about LeRoy Rinehart's memorial meal. It is Thursday from 3-6 at Wallace Funeral Home. The family would like us to provide the meal.
Here is what we have so far:

Broccoli & Cauliflower salad- Carol W.
3 pasta salads- Carol W, Amy D and Ruth. Lettuce layer salad -Mary Kay Brownies and salad- Marti.
Lemon cake and red velvet cake- Carol D. Chocolate cake and spice cake- Joyce H. Banana chocolate chip bars- Sandy
Kelli bringing 8 bags of chips

Meat for the sandwiches have been donated
Funeral is providing the drinks and all serving/paper products

They are planning on 200 people.

We are meeting at Wallace at 2 on Thursday to start making sandwiches and setting up

If anyone else wants to donate something or volunteer let us know
