Many individuals and families face end-of-life challenges without access to the tools that could help them in such an emotionally difficult time. Within Massachusetts, as in most states, there are services, care providers and support resources available for those facing life-threatening illness or injury, either for themselves or as caregivers for family or friends. Yet sadly, many who might benef
it from this information either have difficulty locating needed resources or worse, are not even aware they exist. As a result, critical decisions are often delayed or not made and the needs and wishes of the dying are often not addressed. Overview and Vision Statement
End With Care has been launched as an educational resource to provide and promote public, professional and institutional awareness regarding end-of-life issues. We will collect data and will present access to end-of-life information and tools that assist individuals, their loved ones and caregivers. Along with valuable end-of-life related subject matter, End With Care’s central focus will be to provide an interactive directory of qualified, licensed and certified end-of-life care and service providers, organizations and related agencies serving communities throughout Massachusetts. End With Care’s objectives will be delivered through a public website currently in development, www.endwithcare.org.
