We have some ✨EXCITING NEWS✨

We are excited to announce that NFL Flag Football🏈 boys & girls Kindergarten-6th Grade is coming to the Newton YMCA this fall!
➡Thanks to a generous gift from the Monsignor McCann Community Fund , this program will be offered at no cost to participants, making it a great opportunity for youth throughout our community to get involved in one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.
NFL Flag Football is a fun, fast-paced, and non-contact version of traditional football designed to teach the fundamentals of the game in a safe and positive environment😄. Participants will develop skills such as passing, receiving, route running, defensive positioning, teamwork, and sportsmanship while enjoying the excitement of game play.
Players compete by pulling flags rather than tackling, making the program ideal for athletes of all skill levels and experience levels. Coaches focus on skill development, character building, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere where every player has the opportunity to learn and succeed.

Whether your child is new to football or looking to improve their skills, NFL Flag Football provides an excellent opportunity to stay active, build confidence, make friends, and experience the game in a fun and supportive setting💪.

One of the most exciting aspects of the program is that participants will receive official ✨NFL Flag jerseys representing NFL teams✨. For example, players assigned to the Chiefs will receive a Chiefs jersey as part of their team uniform.
Flag football is also one of the fastest-growing sports for girls in the United States. We strongly encourage girls to participate and hope to create separate boys' and girls' divisions based on enrollment numbers.
Additional program details are currently being finalized, but we wanted to begin spreading the word and building excitement for what promises to be a fantastic fall season.

🏓 What a day on the courts! 🏓

Our Pickleball Tournament on June 13th was an absolute blast! From high-energy matches and incredible plays to great teamwork and friendly competition, the day was filled with excitement from start to finish.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and came out to support the event. We loved seeing our pickleball community come together for such a fun day!

🔬🧪 What an amazing week at Science Camp! 🧪🔬

This week was packed with hands-on learning and fun as our campers explored the world of science! From learning about solids, liquids, and gases to making homemade ice cream and creating DIY volcanoes, every day brought a new adventure.

One of the highlights of the week was learning all about our lungs and how they work. A huge thank you to our guest speaker, who did an incredible job teaching the kids about what happens when we breathe different things into our lungs. The opportunity to see and learn from real lungs made the experience even more memorable and impactful!

We are so proud of our curious scientists and all they learned this week. 💡🌋🍦🫁

Now it's time to gear up for the next camp adventure! 🎉
