Ronald has been doing an outstanding job staying committed to his EGYM workouts, consistently showing up, working hard, and making great progress toward his fitness goals. His dedication is an inspiration to everyone around him!

When asked about his experience with EGYM, Ronald shared:

🎉 A huge milestone for the Newton YMCA! 🎉
Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa The NASCAR Foundation
We are excited to officially open our brand-new Youth Center, made possible through the generous support of Variety – the Children's Charity and the NASCAR Foundation. Their sponsorship and donations have helped create a dedicated space where our youth can learn, grow, connect, and thrive.

Today, we celebrated with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by members of our Youth & Government group. We were honored to have the Chamber join us, along with many of our young YMCA members and community supporters.

This space was built with our youth in mind, and we can't wait to see the friendships, leadership, and memories that will be made here for years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality! 💙✂️

You’re Invited to the Grand Opening of Our New YMCA, Youth Center!

Come celebrate an exciting new space built for fun, creativity, connection, and community. Explore everything the new Youth Center has to offer. We will have hands-on activities, games, interactive spaces, and opportunities for youth and families to experience the room firsthand. Whether you want to create, play, learn, or simply connect with others, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Join us as we open the doors to a place where young people (ages 6-13) can grow, belong, and thrive. Bring your friends, bring your family, and help us kick off this exciting new chapter for our community! Our new youth center is located where the old YMCA conference room was. Doors will open at 6pm and the actual cutting of the ribbon will be at 6:15pm. The room will be open until 7pm for everyone to explore the new areas.

Congratulations to Kalea, our June Employee of the Month! 🎉

Kalea has been part of the YMCA family since she was young, growing up with the Y’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Today, she passes those values on to the next generation as our Child Care Site Supervisor at Emerson Hough.

The children in her care are always her top priority. Kalea goes above and beyond each day to ensure their safety, well-being, and happiness. Her genuine care for every child, combined with her kindness, dedication, and positive attitude, makes a lasting impact on the families we serve.
