Mirror's Youth as Resources Youth As Resources (YAR) empowers youth by giving them opportunities to make a difference in their community through service-learning projects.

Youth as Resources (YAR) is a program that gives youth the opportunity to be active participants in their community and schools to create social change. YAR gives youth a chance to show adults that they can and do make a difference in their communities. Through the YAR program, teams of high school youth design and carry out service projects that contribute to community improvement or meet a commu

nity need, implement campaigns that address substance abuse in their schools and are provided with the opportunity to attend leadership trainings. YAR is a project of Mirror Inc.and receives funding from the Substance Abuse Board, Kansas Health Foundation, Halstead Community Foundation and the Central Kansas Community Foundation.
