Local 13 members, don't forget to make a plan to vote on 6/10. Either mail in your ballot or, if you didn't request one, come to the union hall at 2300 New Falls Rd, Newportville, PA on June tenth. The polls are open from 8am to 6pm. We are voting for 8 executive board postions including business manager. Come make your voice heard.

Support Bill A-805

Bill A-805 will reach the Assembly Floor in Trenton on Monday 6/29/20. This is the Bill that will require all contract employees to be trained or served in a certified Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program or to meet that specific trades Journeyman’s requirements. I have been working on this Bill for almost one year and we are on the goal line. This bill; if passed on the Assembly floor should go to the Governor’s desk to be made to Law. Bill A- 805 will require those contractors that don’t always play by the rules, to bring their work standards to the level expected of us. This should mean greater opportunities for all that take their trade seriously; as we do through our training requirements, to be the most safe and skilled option to our owners and contractors. I need your help for the final push, below is a list of Assemblymen and Assemblywoman, please find the ones that pertain to your location, express your support for A-805 bill so that these Hazardous work sites receive the safest and most skilled work force available.

Viewings will be held on Tuesday, February 19 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, February 20 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Boucher Funeral Home in Deptford, NJ.
