Today we remember the sacrifices of those who gave their all to protect the values and freedoms given to us by our country along with the citizens of said country. Those who laid their lives on the line to save the lives of others.

Today especially we with Cottingham Military Crisis Foundation mourn and remember the life and sacrifices of Sgt. Jackie Gene Cottingham Jr., December 9,1964-Memorial Day May 26, 2014. Thank you for your 27 years of service, multiple tours of duty, the many laughs and memories that you brought to us in your lifetime.

Recent events has made me realize that maybe all organizations operating together at once may be advisable. I figured our veterans were taken care of but apparently these organizations are taking a hit too so might as well joined hand in helping here. So anyone that can possibly donate to the veterans who found themselves without food, shelter, family etc and were in the process of transition from active to disabled bc that's a long process; let's be their family. Remember we owe our military everything we can provide them. Thank you.

With all this going on, has anyone stopped to think about how this is affecting those receiving treatment from VA hospitals? I say that those needing surgeries to make their lives easier should be first priority, the vets have suffered enough.
