12 years of tradition and 2026 was one for the history books! We had a record turnout of runners and might have caught the most beautiful "bluebird" day the Oregon Coast has ever seen. ☀️🌊

A massive thank you to the City of Yachats for hosting our basecamp at the Commons. I also want to send a heartfelt thanks to our community donors—your contributions covered the rental fees and kept this event free for everyone!

Shoutout to the crew that made the magic happen: ☕️ Hannah Marshburn for the incredible photos and the Stumptown coffee fuel. 💧 Jeff McPherson for the critical water drop at Spot #3. 💧 Anna Bohm for handling the water drops at Spots #1 & #2.

This community is the soul of the Perpetua Fa**ss. Thank you for showing up, climbing hard, and leaving no trace.

Thanksgiving morning is almost here, and we’re excited to share an update from the 2025 Newport Turkey Trot. Registration is moving quickly, and we’re pacing for another record turnout at the Port of Newport's South Beach Marina — thank you, Newport community!

Here are this year’s official shirt options:
A — Gold
B — Sand
Both feature the classic turkey and Yaquina Bay Bridge artwork runners know and love.

Shirts are optional, but if you’d like one included in your packet, be sure to add it before Tuesday. We place the order on Wednesday and will have a limited number of extras available first-come, first-serve on race day.

As always, the Turkey Trot supports the Food Share of Lincoln County, helping local families during the holiday season — a huge part of why we love hosting this event.

So… Gold or Sand?

Let us know your pick in the comments!

🌤️ The Sun Came Through – So Did Everyone Else

What a difference a few hours makes. After a night and morning of driving rain and wind gusts that pushed tents, knocked down gear, and tested every one of us — the sun is finally peeking through. And with it came a wave of warmth that’s not just from the sky, but from the spirit of this incredible community.

To every runner still out there, still pushing, still walking, still grinding through their own storms — you are the soul of this event. The kind of perseverance we’ve seen in these past 28+ hours is hard to put into words. You’re soaked, blistered, chilled, and still smiling. That’s the heart of endurance.

To our volunteers — some of whom have barely slept — you’ve kept aid stations going, cheered until your voices were hoarse, and held things together through wind, rain, and now, thankfully, a bit of sun. We see you. We thank you.

To the student crew from Oregon Coast Community College holding down the medical tent — thank you for your care, your calm, and your skill. You’ve been a steady, kind presence through long hours and tough moments.

And through it all, the spirit of Día de los Mu***os has never felt more present. The ofrenda grows with new mementos. Runners are carrying the names of loved ones on their backs. Every lap honors someone. Every step means something.

This isn’t just a race. This is community. Culture. Connection. Resilience.

Thank you all — we’re not done yet. 💀❤️🏃‍♀️

🌧️ 26 Hours In – What a Ride So Far

Well, the Oregon Coast didn’t hold back. We’ve had steady rain, cold air, and wind gusts pushing 50 mph — one tent down, a speaker lost, a laptop fried. But through it all pure grit at full display.

Runners are digging deep. Volunteers are soaked but smiling. We haven’t posted much — honestly, we’ve all had our hands full out here — but here’s where we’re at:

🔹 Ryan Cotton has been leading the charge.
🔹 Derek Easton, last year’s 48-hour champ (143.7 miles!), is in 2nd. He may be resting — we’re still confirming.
🔹 Christof Teuscher is mounting an incredible comeback. At one point he was 9 laps back. He’s now just 4 behind — that’s more than 9.5 miles clawed back.

This is what DDLM is all about — not just endurance, but spirit. Grit. Community. Through rain, wind, and every challenge, we keep moving.

💻 Live tracking is up: https://ardoradventures.com/results/live/ddlmer

Thanks for sticking with us — send some love to your runners and volunteers. They’re out there doing something amazing.

Michael
80 Miles — Finished in 23:22:33
Previous best: 66 miles

He came here to go further — and he did.

Lap by lap, long after the crowd was gone, Michael stayed out there. Through the dark. Through the quiet. Through the ache.

He crossed 66… then 70… then 77…
And finally, with just over half an hour left on the clock, he stepped across 80.

Michael
77.5 Miles — and still going.
Previous best: 66 miles

He’s the only one left on the track.
The aid station is quiet. The air is cool. Every step echoes.

But Michael isn’t done. He passed his previous best more than 10 miles ago — and he’s still chasing more.

No crowd. No spotlight. Just a runner, the track, and the belief that he has more in him.

This is what it looks like when no one’s watching — and you choose to keep going anyway.
