🌊🔨 SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: DENNIS & SONS MARINE CONSTRUCTION! 🔨🌊

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on another one of our Firebox Crew Sponsors — Dennis & Sons Marine Construction! 🐷🔥

Based right here in Carteret County, Dennis & Sons Marine Construction has been in business since 2003, bringing more than two decades of experience to marine construction along our coast. 🌊🔨

When you live somewhere surrounded by as much water as we are, quality marine construction matters — and Dennis & Sons has spent years working in an industry that helps keep our coastal community built for life on the water.

We’re incredibly grateful to have another long-standing Carteret County business choose to support the inaugural Newport BBQ Fest.

A HUGE thank you to Dennis & Sons Marine Construction for joining our Firebox Crew and helping us build something we hope will become a tradition in this community for years to come! ❤️
And remember — these spotlights have a purpose.

When you need work done, grab dinner, shop, or hire a local service, pay attention to the businesses that are investing their time and money back into our community.

They show up for us. Let’s show up for them. ❤️

🚒💦 SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: HOOK N LADDER POWER WASHING CO.! 💦🚒

Today we’re shining the spotlight on a local company with a pretty great description of who they are:

“Good dudes doing good work for good people.” 👏❤️

And that pretty much says it all!

Hook N Ladder Power Washing Co. is a firefighter-owned, veteran-run, and fully insured exterior cleaning company based in Morehead City, NC, proudly serving Carteret County and the Crystal Coast since 2017.

From homes and driveways to all those outdoor surfaces that have collected a few too many years of Eastern NC pollen, salt, dirt, and grime… these guys know how to make things look good again. 💦✨

Beyond the work they do, we’re proud to have another locally owned business with a heart for the community supporting the inaugural 2027 Newport BBQ Fest.

These are exactly the businesses we want to show off — the ones working hard, serving our neighbors, and choosing to invest right back into the place we all call home. ❤️

So when your house, driveway, or property is looking a little less Crystal Coast and a little more crusty coast… 😂 you know who to call!

A HUGE thank you to Hook N Ladder Power Washing Co. for supporting the Newport BBQ Fest and everything we’re working to build for our community! 🚒💦🐷

⚡🔥 SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: R&T POWER SYSTEMS! 🔥⚡

Today’s sponsor is all about making sure you’re ready when the power decides it has other plans. 😏⚡

Today we’re shining the spotlight on R&T Power Systems, one of our Pitmasters Circle Sponsors! 🐷🔥

R&T Power Systems is a family-owned and operated company with more than 15 years of dedicated service to Eastern North Carolina, providing reliable backup power solutions for:

🏡 Homes
🏢 Businesses
🏥 Medical Facilities

They specialize in Kohler generator installation and service and are an authorized Titanium-level Kohler dealer, with a commitment to exceptional customer service that starts with the very first conversation and continues through years of long-term support.

Because when a coastal NC storm rolls in, “I hope the power stays on” isn’t exactly a backup plan. 😂⛈️⚡

R&T Power Systems understands that a generator is about much more than keeping the lights on. It’s about peace of mind — knowing your home, business, or facility is prepared and protected through storms, outages, and whatever else comes your way.

And we LOVE their philosophy:

When the unexpected happens, preparation defines the outcome. 👏

We’re incredibly grateful to have a company with deep roots in Eastern NC step up in such a big way to support the inaugural Newport BBQ Fest. Businesses like R&T Power Systems are helping us turn this event into something that will bring our community together AND allow us to give back to organizations throughout Carteret County. ❤️

Thank you, R&T Power Systems, for keeping Eastern NC powered up and helping us fire up the 2027 Newport BBQ Fest! ⚡🔥🐷

🚗🔥 SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: TIMMY’S MUFFLER & ALIGNMENT SHOP! 🔥🚗

This one has been keeping folks around here on the road for a LONG time! 👏

Today’s Firebox Crew Sponsor Spotlight belongs to Timmy’s Muffler & Alignment Shop, right here in Newport!

With roots going all the way back to 1970, Timmy’s has built a long-standing reputation in our area for quality, dependable automotive service. 🚗🔧

And despite what the name might have you believe, they do a whole lot more than mufflers!

From mufflers & exhaust systems to alignments, brakes, tires, inspections, and general auto repair, Timmy’s is the kind of hometown shop people have been turning to for decades.

Of course, we couldn't spotlight a muffler shop without at least ONE bad joke… and we could go on with muffler jokes, but frankly, we’re exhausted....😂

We’ll see ourselves out.

But seriously — more than 50 years in business is something worth celebrating, and we’re incredibly grateful that a business with such deep roots in our area has chosen to support something brand new for our community.

A HUGE thank you to Timmy’s Muffler & Alignment Shop for joining our Firebox Crew and helping us fire up the inaugural 2027 Newport BBQ Fest! ❤️🔥

And remember — when you need a service, a repair, a meal, a contractor, or anything else around town, take a look at the businesses supporting the things you love in your community and support them right back.

That’s why we’re doing these spotlights.

They show up for us. Let’s show up for them. ❤️

Sub Zero Solutions is a local, family-owned business serving Carteret County and surrounding areas, specializing primarily in:

We love using these Sponsor Spotlights for more than just saying thank you. We want our community to get to know the businesses that are stepping up and helping us bring Newport BBQ Fest to life — because local businesses supporting local events is what community is all about. ❤️

And really, could we ask for a better combination?

Sounds like we’ve got all the important stuff covered. 😉

Please help us show some love to Sub Zero Solutions and thank them for supporting the 2027 Newport BBQ Fest!

💦🔥 SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: CLEARWATER PROCLEAN! 🔥💦

When it comes to Clearwater ProClean, this spotlight is just as much about the person behind the business.

If you’ve spent much time around Newport, there’s a good chance you already know Travis — because when it comes to our local schools, organizations, or community, he is one who is always willing to show up and help. 💙💛🙌

Clearwater ProClean is an owner-operated exterior cleaning company based right here in Newport, with more than 10 years of experience in the pressure-cleaning industry and service throughout Carteret, Craven, and surrounding areas.

💦 House Washing
✨ Driveway & Sidewalk Cleaning
🏡 Deck & Fence Cleaning
🏢 Commercial Cleaning

Basically, Travis spends his days cleaning up Eastern NC while also helping to make it a better place. 👏

And THAT is exactly the kind of business we’re proud to have supporting the Newport BBQ Fest.

Sponsorships are important, but what means even more to us are the people and businesses that consistently show up for this community — whether there’s a sponsorship banner involved or not. Travis is one of those people.

So today, we’re happy to return the favor and shine the spotlight on Clearwater ProClean!

Thank you, Travis, for supporting the Newport BBQ Fest, our schools, our local organizations, and our community time and time again. Newport is better because of people who are willing to show up. 💙💛
