October is Adopt a Less Adoptable Dog Month!
This month, we shine a spotlight on the dogs who may wait a little longer for their forever homes, those with gray muzzles, unique medical needs, or extra time in service.
In the Army Military Working Dog Program, these heroes aren’t “less adoptable”; they’re battle-tested, loyal, and deserving of rest after years of protecting our nation. When their service ends, they need families willing to open their hearts and homes to a true American hero.
Every retired Military Working Dog (MWD) carries a story of courage and conscription into the United States military. Adopting one of these veterans is more than giving a dog a home; it’s welcoming a warrior into your family.
Learn more about adopting a retired MWD through the U.S. Air Force 341st Training Squadron’s MWD Adoption Program: https://www.37trw.af.mil/Units/37th-Training-Group/341st-Training-Squadron/military-working-dog-adoptions/
Help us spread the word this month by sharing this post and honoring these incredible canines who’ve served with courage and heart.
