You may wonder where the name for this extension of Cornerstone’s ministry came from. Well, this is Rebecca. She went home to be with Jesus on January 9, 2020.

Prior to coming to Cornerstone, Rebecca was in prison in the PAL program. She was scheduled to be released; however, she had stage 4 cancer, no family, and would be homeless. So, she came to Cornerstone where she stayed until days before she went from this life to her eternity.

Rebecca’s House was full of love, family, and food for Thanksgiving! Rachel’s family stayed onsite for the holiday and cooked their meal together in the kitchen. Rachel Callaway is a former graduate who now resides in step out. She often assists us with transportation which helps tremendously.

Sharing this house with ladies who are graduates of Cornerstone is our goal for the upcoming year. Hotels are expensive when families come to town for a visit, so now they have a home environment to welcome them. There is a full kitchen, living room with dining tables and couches, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms.

We still use the upstairs as our clothes closet for ladies coming out of prison. This is such a huge blessing!!

The amazing building beside Rebecca’s that the Lord blessed us with stores household furnishings for ladies who move to step out or into their own homes. We’re so thankful we just furnished another step out home which gives us five!! There are 13 women living in these homes right now.

You may wonder what happened to the blessing box that was located on the front porch. Sadly, it was being misused by just a few people. Even when we attempted to solve the issue, it continued. Our intention was to help many with a snack, but that didn’t work out like we’d hoped. However, we’ve discovered other ways to minister to people who need a little hand up in tough times. We will share those opportunities with you in the near future.

For those of you who donate specifically to Rebecca’s House, please know you are being used to bless others!! This house will be used again during the Christmas season. It’s a great way we can continue to minister to ladies beyond their residency at Cornerstone.

Tuesday night praise reports from several of our ladies!

“After 11 Years of prayer that the LORD would allow me to see my 12 year old daughter, I accidentally saw her the Saturday before Easter!
Now I have a friend who's daughter is best friends with her and I am expecting to receive photos today. God answered the prayers I've cried into my pillow at night, he answered and I believe he is restoring that area of my life!”

“God is turning my husbands heart to Him! It’s a process and God is doing it!”

“My birth certificate was wrong and it messed up filing my taxes and everything. I finally was able to get it fixed after 5 months of trying!
Thank you, Lord and my Cornerstone family!”

“Since I’ve given my life to Christ my whole world has done a 360, big time! I haven’t seen my son since he was 2 days old. I had him while I was in jail. He will be 8 months old and I get to have a visit with him on Saturday! My life is coming together, and I could not have done it without God!”

“Spending time with my brother has been a long time coming! After many years and sober, it was the best weekend I have had since my mom past away, praise God!”

“I haven't spoken to my daughter in 5 years. She called me last week to let me know I am going to be a grandma. God's promise of restoration is coming to fruition.”

“I haven’t see my mom in 18 years, and I received a picture of her. Now I know she’s ok.”

What a mighty God we serve!

Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then You look at this prisoner and say to me "son
Stop fighting a fight that's already been won"

What a sweet time of fellowship and Bible study at RH this week.
Thank God, we’ve been Redeemed!

Boutique News 💓
Our ladies who wanted a few items for spring came to Rebecca’s House and shopped the boutique upstairs. For every item of clothing received, ladies left that same amount of cans or items of food.

Sadly, we no longer leave food in the blessing box because some people took all instead of just “taking some”. The items in the picture will be stored in the pantry inside but will be given to someone when we know of a need.

Rebecca’s House is an extension ministry of Cornerstone. We’re thankful we get to help others as God supplies through you!

Rebecca’s House extension ministry of Cornerstone was able to purchase over 1,000 bottles of shampoo for McPherson prison for the Mother’s Day treat bag for the ladies.

While the adults studied the Passover in the dining room last night, these two watched over all the children in the kids’ room. Ruth and her husband volunteer once a month at Rebecca’s House. We’re so grateful!
