🇺🇸⭐ GOLD STAR MOTHERS AND FAMILIES DAY ⭐🇺🇸

Today, VFW Auxiliary 8986 pauses to honor those who carry a sacrifice few of us can fully understand — our Gold Star Mothers and Families.

Every Gold Star represents more than a fallen hero.

It represents a mother who still remembers the first time she held her child.

A father who still carries immeasurable pride.

A spouse who lost a future they had planned together.

A child who carries the legacy of a parent.

A sibling, grandparent, and family who will forever notice the empty place where someone deeply loved should be.

Their loved one answered our nation’s call to serve, and their family has carried the weight of that sacrifice ever since.

As members of the VFW Auxiliary, supporting our veterans, service members, and their families is at the heart of who we are. But today especially, we want our Gold Star Families to know:

We remember with you.

We will speak their names.
We will honor their service.
We will remember their sacrifice.
And we will help ensure their legacy is never forgotten.

To every Gold Star Mother and every Gold Star Family — there are no words great enough to repay what your family has given our nation.

There is only our gratitude, our respect, and our promise to remember.

⭐ Your hero is not forgotten.
🇺🇸 Your family is not forgotten.

With love, honor, and deepest gratitude,
VFW Auxiliary 8986
