American Heritage Girls Troop Tn-2191

We are a Christian scouting program troop located in Newport with meetings at Newport Church of the Nazarene that will meet every 2nd and 4th Thursdays.

Our girls performed two service projects this week. One was at Wellington Manor, an assisted living community, where the girls performed their opening ceremony, a Pioneer girl did a presentation on our state, the girls sang Amazing Grace and then opened a snack store where the residents had to purchase their snacks with a smile, a high five, a fist bump or a handshake! Everyone seemed to enjoy that! Then the girls traveled back to a few streets away from our charter location and picked up trash along Filbert St walking back to the church. The girls filled up 3 trash bags in this short distance and we know they made a huge difference!! Thank you girls (and parents) for all your hard work!!

Our troop had an amazing overnight camp, geocaching, a spa evening and tea party as part of Daughter of the King this weekend!

Looking for a great outdoor based, Christian program for your daughter or grandaughter? Check out American Heritage Girls Troop TN-2191. We meet at Newport Church of the Nazarene on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month. We have open enrollment beginning at our first troop meeting of the year on Thursday, September 11th 6:30pm. The cost is $40 AHG fee along with a $20 supply fee for the year. Once your girl is a member and participates in the fundraisers the only fee every year will be the $20 supply fee. The girls earn badges and patches throughout from September to May. Come check us out!

We have baked goods, lots of craft items and lots of Mary Kay products at deep discount prices at the Holiday Craft Bazaar at Newport Church of the Nazarene , 635 2nd St. 5-8pm today and 10am-2pm tomorrow.

Our Holiday Craft, Mary Kay and Baked Good Bazaar begins tomorrow. Dec 2nd 5pm-8pm and Tuesday 10am-2pm. Come on out and shop and numerous Mary Kay products, Christmas decor crafts, glass bird feeders, ornaments, a knitted star blanket and some yummy cakes and more in the baked goods section!! This is a fundraiser for our Christian outdoor program for girls. 635 2nd St at the corner of 2nd and Filbert. Enter at the basement level.

We are so excited to reveal the first of two fundraisers of our year!! Our girls are selling tickets for Tidal Wave car wash!! Buy this ticket for $10 and it's good for a $30 value car wash!! See any of our girls or comment here if you are local and we can help you out. These would make great stocking stuffers Santa!!

We kicked off our new troop year with a hike at Cosby Nature Trail. Yes it was raining. ..these girls are tough!! Thanks to Ranger Bill we learned a lot about the park as well!!

WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!! We are beginning our new troop year with a hike! We will meet on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 10am at Cosby Campground shelter. If you have been a member of our troop or you have a girl between 6yrs and 18yrs of age that would like to join our troop for the year then meet us at the shelter. 127 Cosby Entrance Rd, Cosby TN. For more information, message us here with your phone number and we will be glad to call you with all the details! One parent or guardian must attend the hike with your girl.
