Sadly I don't get to hang with my brother and sister and nephews, stand in the corrals in Hopkinton this year, or experience the scream tunnel at Wellesly, or crest Heartbreak Hill by Boston College, or see the GIANT Citgo sign for what feels like hours (it's actually visible for about a mile) or finally, turn right on Hereford, left on Boyleston, nor do I get to enjoy that sweet post race beer at the Irish pub after, but I DO get to track some amazing people, John Burcher, Elise McLawhorn, and Kari Tallent having their first Boston Marathon and a few returning friends Amber Kuszak, Clark Pederson and Carter Ficklen, cheer for them, and wish them a great day, fantastic race, and cheer for every runner from the 757 (you know who you are!) and everywhere else as they run the world's most iconic marathon!
