Captathon CaptaTHON first joined Children's Miracle Network in 2015 to support Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, VA.

In the past four years Christopher Newport University has raised over $90,000 For The Kids! CaptaTHON is Christopher Newport University’s annual 5-hour Dance Marathon benefiting the patients of our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, The Children’s Hospital for the King’s Daughters in Norfolk. A majority of fundraising happens before the event and to celebrate the money we have raise we com

mit to dancing for 5-hours in hopes that participants are inspired by how much those around them have raised and want to continue to raise money. Since CaptaTHON started in 2015 we have steadily increased the amount raised. This past year CaptaTHON raised over $23,000. This year we are hoping to exceed that.
