The Stuff of Dreams foundation was created to ensure that theatre and the performing arts continue to live on by promoting one unknown star at a time. Our goal is to implement our mentorship program in the Tidewater area before expanding our reach worldwide. We aim to have our chosen candidates from ages 18-25 intern with an ensemble cast, or professional performer during a ongoing production. Fil

ing For Non-Profit status is approximately $1000. To raise awareness, over 80 professional presentation kits will be sent to artistic directors, producers, and theaters at a cost over $500. Whether you are a theater enthusiast, or patron of the arts please help us make dreams come true by donating. Even a small amount will get us one step closer toward our goals.

Theatre of the day by The Stuff of Dreams Foundation for Theatre Arts is Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
For some cities, the desire to build a major arts complex is a lifetime dream. For the City of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, that dream came true with the development of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
From concept to fruition, this world-class performing arts center was built with years of passion, planning and dedication. The passion began nearly four decades ago, when Fort Lauderdale’s War Memorial Auditorium, built in the 1940s, and the Parker Playhouse, constructed in the late 1950s, struggled to meet the changing performing arts needs of this expanding South Florida cultural community.
Recognizing the need for a more viable venue -- one with a much age, visionaries set forth to turn their dream into reality.
Although it would take nearly 30 years, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts opened it's doors on February 26, 1991 offering the community a future of the best in performing arts and entertainment.

Opened in 1925, "The Met," as it was called, was developed by Max Shoolman and designed by Clarence Blackall, a leading American theater architect. In 1980, the Theatre converted to a not-for-profit organization known as The Metropolitan Center and renovations to the stage and backstage.
