The Peninsula Networking Exchange Club’s membership includes women from Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown and Suffolk. Occupations of the members include business owners, educators, retirees and everything in between. Activities the club has participated in include Tree Planting on the Colonial Parkway, Clean the Bay, International Children’s Festival aka Mosaic Festival, Tea Party at Girls Inc., monthly Bingo at Seton Manor and Adopt-A-Spot clean up in Buckroe. The group also sponsors a Student of the Month from local High Schools and several local After Prom parties. Peninsula Networking Exchange club has helped fund Mammograms for low income women, A Nights Welcome, American Diabetes Walk, Light up the Night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and Relay for Life. The focus areas for the club are Americanism, Crime and Fire Prevention, Community Service, Child Abuse Prevention, and Service to Senior Citizens and Youth. On the last Saturday in September (except the year Hurricane Isabel forced a delay) the Peninsula Networking Exchange Club has held its signature fundraiser “Basket Bingo”. Now in its 25th year, the one day event brings in enough money to fund all of the club’s charity work. Basket Bingo attendees play bingo to win
