❤️‍🩹Jango, my oldie but goodie, has been with me for 14 years and now he needs our help.

This sweet boy is not feeling well and had to be hospitalized today. Despite feeling miserable, he was the perfect patient—lying completely still for his catheter placement and blood draw. That's just who Jango is: gentle, trusting, and full of love.

❤️‍🩹He came in with a fever, severe dehydration, and has not been eating or grooming himself. X-rays did not reveal an obvious cause, and we are currently waiting on blood work results to help determine what is going on.

For now, Jango will remain on fluids for the rest of the week. He has been started on a strong antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medication while we work to get him feeling better.

This old soul has touched so many lives over the years. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we wait for answers and hope for improvement.

❤️‍🩹Rescue is hard.❤️‍🩹

But when you take on special needs babies, it is even harder.

Tiny Tim and Freyja stole my heart from the very beginning. They were precious and perfect to me, just as they were.

🐾Rescue is about caring for those who need us most, but it also takes a piece of your soul. The emotional toll can be overwhelming. You pour your heart into them, celebrate every tiny victory, and carry every setback as if it were your own.

💔A part of me broke when I had to let Tiny Tim and Freyja go.💔

❤️‍🩹Tiny Tim simply wasn't improving the way he should have. His back legs were unable to support him, and as he grew bigger and gained weight, life would only become more difficult for him. His quality of life became my greatest concern. The kindest gift I could give him was peace, and so I helped him cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Then came Freyja.

❤️‍🩹After fighting so hard, she stopped eating. For two days she refused food, and then she looked at me and cried. In that moment, I knew. As much as I wanted to keep fighting for her, it was time to let her go.

Both of these babies were incredibly special to me. They left paw prints on my heart that will never fade. Losing them hurts more than words can express, and a piece of my heart went with them when they left.

But I find comfort in knowing that they are whole again. No pain. No struggles. No limitations.

Just peace, freedom, and endless sunshine beyond the Rainbow Bridge.

Run free, sweet Tiny Tim and Freyja. You were loved beyond measure, and you will be missed every single day
