This page is a place for community building, sharing information, and showing gratitude to our sponsors. The Our Lady of Mount Carmel (OLMC) Auction is the school’s premier annual fundraiser. More than 150 participants attend this event to support the school and its mission. Our guest gather together with teachers, friends, family, alumni, and the greater community for an evening of fabulous food,
drinks, and fellowship. The event includes a silent auction during cocktail hour and a live auction during dinner. Last year, we raised $92,000 thanks to sponsors, bidders, and organizations who donated items to our auction. This year we are hoping to raise $95,000 to continue the excellent education of our students. We rely on donors to keep our costs low so that more money can go towards supporting our school. Tuition only covers 75% of the cost to educate our students, so we depend on donations and fundraising efforts to bridge the gap. All proceeds from the auction directly support our school and its academic programs. OLMC school was founded in 1954 under the direction of the Dominican Sisters of Nashville, Tennessee. The school is a not-for profit, fully accredited pre-kindergarten through 8th grade Catholic school. OLMC's curriculum includes computer technology, music, art, foreign languages, physical education, and library classes. OLMC is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (CASI). The school is also a member of the Peninsula Independent Athletic League (PIAL) and competes against other local private schools in various sports. OLMC is well-known in the Hampton Roads area for maintaining the traditions of the Roman Catholic Faith while stressing academic excellence. At OLMC, we develop the whole person in a faith-centered community by pursuing the values of truth, goodness, and beauty. On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you for your support.
