Today marks five years since our Brotherhood suffered one of its greatest losses.

There are moments in every organization’s history that forever shape who we become. This is one of those moments.

Today, the Brotherhood of Omega Xi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. pauses to honor and remember our beloved Founding Tail
our baby Brotha.

A line can never be complete without its Tail. The Tail carries the line home. The Tail reminds us that every position matters and every Brotha leaves a legacy. Though five years have passed, your place in our Founding Line remains untouched. It is yours. It always will be.

No amount of time has lessened the weight of your absence. We still find ourselves wishing for one more conversation, one more laugh, one more opportunity to tell you just how deeply you were loved.

You were loved far more than you may have ever realized.

You were not simply a member of this Brotherhood, you were one of the souls who helped give it life. Your fingerprints remain on our foundation. Every milestone we celebrate, every Brotha who crosses into this Brotherhood, every dream we continue to build stands upon the sacrifices and commitment of those who came first
 including you.

We often ask ourselves what could have been if we had just been given more time. More memories. More years. More Brotherhood.

But we trust that Heaven needed you more than we did.

Though your journey on this side ended far too soon, your watch over this Brotherhood did not. We believe your spirit walks beside us every time we gather, every time we welcome a new Brotha, every time we proudly wear these letters.

Today we do not simply mourn your passing.

We celebrate your life.

We honor your legacy.

We protect your memory.

And we promise that your name will never be forgotten within the halls of Omega Xi Alpha.

Five years later
