This month Ryan and I have led our first outreach trip here in Ukraine. We had 10 Americans join us from Perimeter Church from Atlanta under the leadership of Simon Cole — 4 brave women and 6 brave men! We can never underestimate the power of presence. They listened, they showed up, and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. .global

Last Friday was the 189th Prayer Call for Ukraine. RBO, together with the American people, has been faithfully praying for this community every week since the beginning of the war holding a Zoom meeting each Friday.

On October 4th, the Church of Good Changes officially restarted their church in the western part of Ukraine. Thank you for your hearts and commitment. Together, we witness a miracle how God is taking care of His people and answering their prayers!

We would like to invite you to join us at the Ukraine Ministry Partner Lunch!

We have the great privilege of hosting Pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko and staff from Church of Good, Changes Mariupol, in Ukraine. We will have an encouraging time hearing their stories, ministry updates on the current state of the Russo-Ukrainian War, and how we can pray for the future of their church. You will also hear about ways to volunteer as a Global Advocate for the Ukraine Ministry.
Don’t miss this time of fellowship and care as we advocate for our partners in Ukraine!

Sunday | Feb 16th | 12:45 pm (Lighthouse Room).

Please, register and bring a friend!

Dear Prayer Team,

I cannot believe that tomorrow marks our 100th prayer call together. Somebody once joked with us that if you really want to start a group where people don’t show up consistently, call it a ‘prayer group.’ Well… haven’t we proved them wrong! Over the last two years we have had as many as 75 people in attendance and averaged consistently between 15 & 20 every single week. We have heard the testimonies of dozens of Ukrainians who have shared their experiences, hearts and faith with us. We’ve joined in consistently from three different states, California, Arizona and Texas. Thank you all for your prayers, consistency and the love you’ve shown to all our partners. Your dedication has been incredible.

A few weeks before this terrible war started, our dear friend Anatoly Kaluzhny suggested to us that we gather some of our community together to pray for what seemed inevitable for his country. I’m so glad that he did. As a result, we have all had the honor of somehow becoming forever bound in this relationship and community together. We’ve had the privilege of walking alongside his country’s struggle, pain, strength and joy through the most extreme kinds of adversity. We've borne witness to both the lowest moments and miracles in their lives. Praise God. What a blessing.

For this very special call we will be joined by Anatoly Kaluzhny, Gennadiy Mokhnenko, and a few women that have prayed every single day for the last 700 days at a church in a small Ukrainian village that Mila and I are now living in. I want to encourage each one of you to reach out and invite that friend or family member that has been on your heart to join us this week. We are so grateful that we are on such a special team with each one of you and that we get to pray for these people together. Thank you for being a part of this with us.

So much of this would not be possible without the support of our global family at Mariner’s Church (Pamela & Chrisitan!), Jim & Diane Van Dalfsen, as well as our partners Velda and Emerson Rickstrew. Thank you for all you have done.

XO, Ryan and Mila

Ryan, Ben, and I found ourselves immersed in casual banter, laughter, and the warmth of freshly brewed coffee. However, the joy abruptly dissolved when I noticed a group of young ladies, their eyes reflecting the pain of a nation at war. A heaviness settled in my heart.

The mood shifted abruptly when sirens pierced the air, compelling everyone to halt and kneel as a convoy of cars passed by. Among them was a vehicle carrying the body of a fallen soldier, a poignant reminder of the harsh reality outside our fleeting moments of laughter.

As the convoy faded into the distance, we resumed our walk. My gaze fell upon the same group of girls, standing together, tears silently streaming down their faces. In that solemn moment, I understood – they had come earlier to pay tribute to the fallen soldier. Our earlier laughter had unwittingly disrupted the quiet dignity of their ordinary life in the midst of war.

Be a CAUSE of GOOD CHANGE!
Vera and Vladimir live in Germany. They have been bringing refugees from the Ukrainian border to Germany since the war began. You can be the cause to make a good change in the lives of people who are displaced and suffering.
Like Vera say’s, “Let’s get tired for the Lord!”
