Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity was proud to join the Newnan Urban Redevelopment Agency’s Housing Resource Fair today!

Events like this are what community is all about—bringing neighbors and local organizations together and connecting residents with the resources they need to build stronger, more stable futures.

We enjoyed sharing information about Habitat’s affordable homeownership opportunities, Brush with Kindness home repair program, volunteer opportunities, and community resources while connecting with other organizations working to strengthen housing in Coweta County.

Because a safe, affordable place to call home is more than four walls—it’s a foundation for stability, opportunity, and hope.

Thank you to the Newnan Urban Redevelopment Agency for bringing our community together and creating a space where residents can learn, connect, and discover resources available right here at home.

Proud to serve as a member of this Board for City of Hope Atlanta.

Today, we had the opportunity to hear about the positive outcomes and meaningful impact from the decisions and initiatives this board helped shape over the past year. It was exciting to see how those conversations and investments are translating into real impact across our communities.

The Community Advisory Board works alongside City of Hope leadership to identify community health needs, strengthen partnerships, and help guide initiatives that advance health, wellness, prevention, and access to care.

As we enter year two, I’m especially excited to continue this work alongside Melissa Childress, the new President of City of Hope Atlanta. I’m grateful to be part of a group of leaders helping shape what’s next and proud to be part of City of Hope’s continued investment in Georgia and the health of the communities we call home.

Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity, Inc. was proud to join our Newnan-Coweta Chamber at the Georgia Congressional Luncheon.

It was a privilege to connect with Governor Brian Kemp, members of Georgia’s congressional delegation, and top business and community leaders from across the state as we discussed the opportunities and challenges shaping Georgia’s future.

One of the most encouraging takeaways was hearing attainable housing recognized as a key priority in conversations about Georgia’s future, including by those seeking to serve as our next governor. Safe, affordable homeownership is essential to strong families, thriving communities, and a healthy workforce, and I was proud to see this issue receive the attention it deserves.

A special thank you to Candace Boothby and the Newnan-Coweta Chamber for ensuring Habitat has a seat at the table and for creating opportunities to advocate for the housing needs of our community alongside leaders from across Georgia. Your leadership continues to open doors for meaningful collaboration and impact.

It was a pleasure for our Director of Community Outreach, Marcie Bayne, to speak with the Senoia Optimist Club about the work of Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity. From building affordable homes and providing critical home repairs through our Brush with Kindness program to sharing opportunities through our ReStore and signature fundraising events, we are grateful for the chance to tell our story.
