Bridging the Gap At Bridging the Gap Community Outreach (BTG), we’re here to feed, serve & restore our neighbors. Join us — together we make a difference!

From meals to community resources, we’re walking alongside families in Coweta County with hope and support. Wednesday Food Distribution Weekly 4:00 pm. Friday is for private appointments at BTG. 🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: FOOD DISTRIBUTION CANCELED 🚨

Due to anticipated inclement weather, Bridging the Gap’s food distribution scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, October 10th, has been CANCELED.

The safety and well-being of our clients, volunteers, and staff will always be our top priority. With the expected weather conditions, we feel it is simply too risky to have anyone traveling or standing outdoors during distribution.

We understand how important our weekly food distributions are to the families we serve, and this decision was not made lightly. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

📢 PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD! Share this post so that our neighbors who rely on our services are aware of this cancellation.

Every Food Distribution Starts LONG Before the First Car Arrives! ❤️

Yesterday was another incredible day of feeding our neighbors here at Bridging the Gap! 🥫🍎 But what many people don’t see is the countless hours of preparation, organization, and hard work that happen behind the scenes to make distributions like yesterday possible.

And that’s where YOU come in! 🙌

Our need for volunteers doesn’t begin and end on distribution days! From sorting donations and packing food boxes to organizing our warehouse, stocking shelves, and preparing for the next distribution, there is ALWAYS something to be done and ALWAYS a way to make a difference.

Whether you have an hour to give or want to make volunteering part of your weekly routine, we have a place for YOU at BTG! ❤️

A $10,000 INVESTMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to Wells Fargo for awarding Bridging the Gap a $10,000 grant to support our mission to Feed, Serve, and Restore! This generous investment will help us continue providing food, essential resources, and hope to families throughout our community.

Today, our Executive Director, Jamar Joiner, and Deputy Director, Grace Rodriguez, had the honor of attending the Grand Reopening of Wells Fargo’s Newnan branch! 🎉 It was wonderful to see so many incredible community leaders come together to celebrate this milestone.

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible ladies of Foundation Christian Church Women’s Small Group for coming out Tuesday evening and volunteering with us at Bridging the Gap! 🙌

More Than Food — It’s About Connecting Our Neighbors to Resources! 🧡

When you hear Atlanta Community Food Bank, you may immediately think about food — but their impact at Bridging the Gap goes far beyond helping us keep our neighbors fed!

Every other Tuesday, a representative from the Atlanta Community Food Bank joins us at BTG to provide hands-on assistance to clients navigating important state benefits, including SNAP (food stamps), WIC, CAPS, and more.

Whether someone needs help completing an application, understanding the process, gathering the right information, or even working through an appeal, they have someone right there who can help guide them through it. 🫶🏻

This is what partnership looks like. It’s not only about meeting an immediate need — it’s about connecting individuals and families with resources that can provide greater stability long after they leave our doors. 🚪

We are incredibly grateful for the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the many ways they continue to help us Feed. Serve. Restore. our community.
