ECHO Village Outreach, Inc To unite families and the community in the fight against obesity through fun, fitness, and nutrition; and to engage, educate, empower, and mentor children.

- A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO:
Hello, my name is Allana Morsell. I am a child of enablers. My parents did EVERYTHING for me until I was about 30 years old! I’m talking: laundry, cooking, and house-hold chores, (even when I moved out, my dad would come to my apartment and clean up, scrub and vacuum floors, wash/dry and put dishes, do our laundry, grocery shop, and sometimes cook). Although they taught

me how to do things, they never made me do it. So it was difficult for me to handle the realization of these things being my responsibility. I had a mistaken notion that having children would be a time of endless fun and that parents were kind of like cruise ship directors for kids. Well, now that I have three daughters - a pre-teen, and teenage twins, I’ve come to realize that childhood should be fun, but also should be a training ground for the real world; and children should be not only become responsible, but know when they are expected to be accountable for their own lives. My mom and I have also struggled with obesity for years, and we’ve come to know from personal experience, the stresses and health conditions obesity can cause. We come from a background of having obese parents, grandparents, and many other relatives, who have suffered from heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, diabetes, stroke, cancer, asthma, thyroid disorder, sleep apnea, and other illnesses or conditions. It wasn’t just our personal struggles that made us want to take action, but it was seeing that others are facing the same issues. It has become normal for teenagers to be irresponsible. They can’t find their schoolbooks to do homework, they run out of clean clothes, they want to borrow money to go to the mall, and "cooking" consists of operating a microwave oven. Many of them do not make eye contact when speaking, they drop off the ending of words or don’t enunciate, their pants hang below their hips, and most of them have no interest in getting physical exercise. Their peer socialization is limited, and they don’t usually come together for a common cause that benefits others in need. They spend the majority of their time playing video games, which cause them to remain sedentary, and even become overweight. These young people are at the age when they will soon launch into the real world; a world in which most will not be equipped to handle, unless we, as a community, help prepare them. Through extensive research, we have come to realize that obesity exits in epidemic proportions for all people in the United States, especially in our children. The Center for Disease Control estimates that approximately 17% (or 12.7 million) of children and adolescents aged 2 - 19 years old are obese. As a family, we have learned that staying active and eating properly are the keys to halting the weight gain in our own children. What every child and every family needs is a way of life that promotes healthy eating, physical activity and peer socialization on a long-term basis. We are ready to take action in the fight to help put an end to childhood obesity, so that our children and other children can live stronger, healthier and more productive lives. We also want to help equip the youth with the life skills they need to meet the challenges of today’s world. So, we decided to increase awareness by creating a program that promotes fitness and life skills training, and encourages the family and community to get involved so that our youth can develop healthy habits and make wise choices about their future. We are soliciting your help to put an end to the childhood obesity epidemic, and in equipping our youth with the skills and knowledge to help prepare them for adulthood. Come join us!!

ISO: Home to Lease for Women’s Supportive Housing Program 💗🏡

I’m looking to partner with a compassionate property owner who has a vacant home with 3 - 6 bedrooms in Newnan, McDonough, Atlanta, or the surrounding area and wants to do something truly meaningful — while still earning guaranteed rent.

This home will support women who are establishing independence, rebuilding stability, or transitioning from difficult life circumstances. (No children, no loud environments, no rotating traffic will be allowed; this will be a sober living environment).

What I provide:
✅ Guaranteed rent monthly - even during transitions (auto-pay available)
✅ Long-term lease (2–5 years)
✅ I handle cleaning, upkeep, and maintaining a calm, respectful, safe environment
✅ Bi-monthly professional house cleaning
✅ Lawn maintenance paid by me
✅ Home warranty coverage, renter’s insurance, and liability insurance paid by me
✅ Hands-off experience — we handle residents, rules, and daily operations

What you get:
✅ You keep full ownership — we simply lease and manage the home as a program site
✅ Rent paid at or slightly above market rate once program begins

Special ask:
✅ 45-day rent-free startup period (added to the back of the agreement) to allow for furnishing, site prep, and resident placement to help ensure the foundation is set for longevity.
