Meet Coach Assistant Jill Head! ⛳

Jill helped start the golf program to give athletes the opportunity to try a brand-new sport and hobby. In her role on the team, she focuses on offering constant support and encouragement to every player.

For Jill, the best part of being out on the course is seeing the athletes excel, get excited about making great shots, and improve with every practice. She loves watching the energy and joy they bring to both practices and tournaments.
For anyone considering getting involved, Jill shares that volunteering brings more joy to your heart than you can imagine. She reminds potential players that golf is a diverse, fun sport where every day offers a fresh start, and no one needs to be a professional to have a great time!

Meet Coach Chanda! ⛳

For Coach Chanda, the best part of coaching is watching the athletes discover what they are capable of accomplishing. Nothing beats the smiles, high-fives, and sense of pride that come when a player reaches a personal goal.

She notes, the growth this season has been remarkable across the board. Beyond sharpening their golf skills, the athletes have become more confident, focused, and independent. Their swings are more consistent, their understanding of the game has grown, and their sportsmanship shines as they encourage one another on the course.

In terms of practice, she says each starts with stretching to get ready, followed by skill stations covering putting, chipping, and full swings. Whenever possible, practice wraps up with fun games and on-course activities to apply those new skills!

Drop a 👏 in the comments to thank Coach Chanda for her incredible leadership and support on the course!
