100 years from now… how will your Shrine remember you?
Will it remember the early mornings you got up to cook breakfast for a fundraiser?
The Brother who arrived early, unlocked the doors, set up the Lodge room, and made sure everything was ready?
The money you raised, the Brothers you helped, or the young Shriner you encouraged when he was ready to give up?
Maybe one day, Brothers will travel for miles to stand in your Club and honor your memory.
Maybe they’ll know you as a Past Master, a P.D.D.G., or simply as a Noble.
But a hundred years from now, the titles won’t matter nearly as much as the impact you left behind.
I hope the memories I leave behind make my Shrine and this Commonwealth better than I found them.
I want to be known as a Noble who protected the Craft with a strong but gentle hand—someone you could call when you needed help, knowing we’d face the problem and solve it together.
Most of all, I want every Noble to know:
You will never walk this journey alone.
We take care of each other.
We lift each other up.
And when a Brother falls, we reach down and help him back up.
That’s what Masons do.
So don’t worry about the title you hold or the chair you occupy.
Ask yourself:
What will your example leave behind?
Because titles fade.
Chairs change.
Names become memories.
But the way you treated your Brothers can live for generations.
So, Brother…
When you leave your Lodge, what will you leave behind?
