Only 5% of federal cancer research funding is dedicated to childhood cancers, despite the urgent need for better treatments and healthier outcomes for children.
CURE invests in research designed to improve treatments available to children today while advancing new approaches for cancers that still have few effective options. In 2026 alone, CURE is funding 17 research grants at leading institutions across the country totaling $5.7 million to help accelerate progress for children with cancer.
This September, The Ice Cream Stop is helping make that progress possible. Every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., 15% of sales at its Richmond Hill, Pooler, Rincon, and Bluffton locations will support CURE's mission to fund lifesaving childhood cancer research and provide critical support for families navigating a diagnosis.
