Registrations are open for two CTA conferences all about TEACHING!!

The New Teacher’s Conference is specifically for those in their first three years, regardless of content area or grade level. The Good Teaching Conference is open to all teachers at any stage of their career. Sessions on curriculum, classroom management, and staying sane in the job, among many others, are on tap at both conferences.

Head on out to OHS today to cheer on the Lady Warriors as they partner with the Side-Out Foundation to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer survivors and fighters in their annual Dig Pink match against Gustine. Games are at 6:00 and 7:00.

From the Side-Out Foundation: “The foundation’s name underscores the mission of the organization — a ‘side-out’ in volleyball occurs when one team wins a point while its opponent is serving, thereby regaining serve or control of play. Likewise in the war against breast cancer, the Side-Out Foundation will support healthcare professionals in their pursuit of practical solutions for women and men with this terrible disease, thus enabling those affected to regain control of their lives and live them to the future.”

For the first time ever, NCLTA has endorsed two candidates in November’s NCLUSD school board election. Lyzette Gonzalez (zone 3) and Derek Wach (zone 4) bring knowledge and a passion for students and a desire to be the best for all students and staff and our community as a whole. We encourage all who live in NCLUSD zones 3 & 4 to vote Gonzalez and Wach in November.
