TOSCA is proud to be named as a memorial contribution in honor of Coach Harold Canter. He was a long time teacher, coach, mentor and friend to many of the students who passed through the doors of Yolo Middle School and Orestimba High School. Coach made Newman his home for 63 years and was proud to be a part of the community. We made several revisions to the application so please read it carefully and the submission deadline is March 13, 2026. It's never too early to start working on your application. TOSCA is honored to be named as a contributing organization in memory of Melvin Joseph Souza. Mel was a proud Orestimba Warrior and athlete. He was the long-time owner of Mel's Liquors that was a downtown hot spot for the community of Newman and served as City of Newman Fire Chief for 26 years while service the fire department for over 40. We recently lost a wonderful friend, life-long Newman Resident and TOSCA supporter, Joe Caton. TOSCA is proud to be named as Joe's memorial request by his family. Joseph Leonard Caton, Jr., 90, of Newman, California, passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Newman on Decemb...
