Office Closure Notice

The Kaw Housing Authority office will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.

We will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22, 2026.

If you experience a maintenance emergency during this time, please contact the Maintenance Emergency Line at (580) 761-0354.

☀️🏊‍♀️ POOL BASH ALERT! 🏊‍♂️☀️

Kaw Housing Authority is excited to host a Pool Bash on June 25th at the Newkirk Public Pool!

📅 Date: June 25, 2026
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: Newkirk Public Pool

We've rented the entire pool and invite our tribal families and the community to come enjoy an afternoon of swimming, fun, and making summer memories!

🍧 Free Snow Cones! 🍧
The snow cone truck will be available from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM. A ticket is required to receive a snow cone, so be sure to get your ticket right before the truck opens for the hour. One small snow cone per person while supplies last.

Come cool off with us! We look forward to seeing everyone there for an afternoon of summer fun! ☀️🌊😎

📢 Important Update from Kaw Housing Authority 📢

This is an important update regarding late fees outlined in the KHA Admission & Occupancy Policy. Effective June 1, 2026, late fees will be increasing.

Please review the updated fee schedule below:

• Payments received after the 10th of the month will incur a $25.00 late fee (currently $10.00).

• Payments not paid by the end of the month will incur a $50.00 late fee (currently $20.00).

If you have any questions, please contact the KHA office during normal business hours.

☀️💦 SPLASH PAD SEASON IS OFFICIALLY HERE! 💦☀️

Oh yes… summer fun is back in the air, and Kaw Housing Authority is SO excited to announce that the Splash Pad is officially OPEN and ready for fun! 🩴🌊😎

A huge THANK YOU goes out to our amazing maintenance crew, Rick and Josh, for getting everything up and running. Be sure to let them know just how AWESOME they are when you see them! 👏🔧

🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION — PLEASE READ 🚨

🕘 Splash Pad Hours:
9:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily

To help everyone have a safe and fun summer, please remember:

💧 Parents — please make sure the littles do NOT climb on the water equipment.

🗑️ Help us keep the area clean by picking up after yourselves and using the trash cans provided.

🚻 VERY IMPORTANT:
There will NOT be any public restrooms available at either the old housing building or the current housing building. We understand this may be inconvenient, so please plan ahead before heading to the Splash Pad.

Kaw Housing Authority will be closed today due to not having electricity.

If you have an emergency, Kim our compliance manager has the emergency phone. (580) 761-0354.

It’s supposed to be a cooler day so we can open some windows and get some much needed air flow.

At this time we do not know when the electricity will be on, I will do my best to update everyone.
