๐Ÿ• Ready to unleash some fun?

Whether your dog loves running, sniffing, performing tricks or learning new skills, thereโ€™s something for everyone at Oklahoma 4-H Dog Adventure Day on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Totusek Arena in Stillwater. Participants can choose from activities such as agility, Fast CAT, rally, scent work, barn hunt, Canine Good Citizen and more. ๐Ÿพ

The cost is $15, which includes three activities. Additional activities can be added for $5 each. Vaccination forms are due by Oct. 30 at 5 p.m. ๐Ÿ“‹

Kay County Free Fair Project Spotlight: Science & Technology ๐Ÿ”ฌโš™๏ธ๐Ÿš€

As we get ready for the Kay County Free Fair, we're highlighting the different divisions of the 4-H Fair Book and the projects you can enter!

Today's spotlight is the Science & Technology Division. From robotics and computer science to aerospace, electricity, engineering, and other STEM-related projects, this division is a great place to showcase your curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Take a look at your projects and see what you might enter in this year's fair!

As you move through the process, take the time to read the instructions provided. They will help guide you through each step.

Be sure to use the little person icon in the upper right-hand corner to sign in. This will help keep track of your progress and save your entries as you work through the process.

3๏ธโƒฃ COMPLETE ALL 5 STEPS!
You must continue all the way through Step 5 to officially complete your entries.

At the end of Step 5, you will receive a receipt. ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ
Please bring this receipt with you to check-in at the fair. You will present it to receive your exhibit tags.

ALL LARGE ANIMAL LIVESTOCK must be entered through the online system by END OF DAY โ€” SEPTEMBER 14TH.

This will greatly assist with check-in and show preparation!

We know this is a new process for the Kay County Free Fair, and we appreciate everyoneโ€™s patience as we roll it out!

Weโ€™re excited about the streamlined check-in process this will provide for exhibitors, volunteers and fair staff. We also believe this new system will help make things smoother with our new Premium payout procedure this year. ๐Ÿ’ฐ

๐Ÿ“ฃ Need a Fair Poster Laminated?

If you're planning to enter a poster in the Kay County Free Fair and need it laminated, we can help!

Bring your poster to the Kay County OSU Extension Office, and we'll be happy to laminate it for you. Please call ahead and give us a heads up so we can have the laminating machine ready when you arrive.

โœ… We can laminate your poster, but it is still your responsibility to enter your exhibit at the fair.

๐Ÿ“… Poster entries must be taken to the Kay County Free Fair Grounds in Blackwell on September 14 or 15 during exhibit entry times.

Kay County 4-H Members: Are You Ready for Youth in Action 2026?

Calling all 7th-12th grade Kay County 4-H members! Join us for Youth in Action (YIA) on October 13-15, 2026.

Youth in Action brings together 4-H members from across Northeast Oklahoma for:
Leadership development activities
Engaging workshops
Dances and social events
A district-wide service project

Interested in attending or running for a Northeast District Officer position?

If you would like to attend Youth in Action, you must contact the Kay County Extension Office by September 1, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.

Don't miss this opportunity to develop your leadership skills, make new friends from across the district, and represent Kay County 4-H!

A new year is here!

Be sure to sign up for another year of fun with Kay County 4-H! From leadership opportunities and community service to contests, projects, and new friendships, there's something for everyone.

If you have any questions or need assistance with enrollment, please contact the Kay County Extension Office and ask to speak with Blakelee Pugh, our new 4-H Educator.

We can't wait to see what this year has in store!
