Now honey, let me tell you something. When one of our babies comes through that door sick or scared, we don't ask questions. We just love on them and get them the care they need. That's just what you do as a rescue.

We are so blessed by this community; we really are. And if you feel led to help even just a little bit, just know it goes straight to one of our sweet babies who needs somebody to show up for them. everybody healthy and on the mend.

Some animals have never known what it's like to feel safe. 🐾

They've never had a soft bed to curl up on, a full food bowl waiting for them in the morning, or a gentle hand to lean into at the end of a long day. That someone could be you. Fostering with Kindred Tails Sanctuary means giving a rescued animal a warm, loving place to heal and just be a pet while they wait for the family that will keep them forever. It's temporary, but the impact is anything but.

We take care of the food, supplies, all vet care, and flea & heartworm prevention. All you bring is your heart and a little space in your home. Once you apply and are approved, we'll match you with a pet whose needs and your lifestyle fit beautifully together because we want this to be joyful! Could you be that safe place for one animal? We'd love to have you. 💚 📋

Today,Beatriz, director oSeraphina’s Sanctuaryry, came to visit us at Kindred Tails Sanctuary. What started as a hard day quickly became a reminder of how powerful rescue networking and community truly are.

We had someone surrender 8 kittens to us, along with a medical kitten needing extra care and attention. Like many rescues right now, we are stretched thin — emotionally, physically, financially, and on space. But instead of facing it alone, another rescue stepped in to help.

Beatriz was able to take the 8 kittens, who will now continue their journey through another rescue partner, and she also took in the medical kitten pictured below so it can receive the care it needs.

This is why networking with other rescues matters so much. One rescue may not always have the space, time, supplies, knowledge, foster homes, or reach to help every animal that comes through the door — but together, we can often make miracles happen. By working together, animals get a better chance at safety, medical care, transport, exposure, and ultimately finding loving homes.

Rescue is not a competition. It is a community.
And today was a beautiful reminder of that.

We are incredibly grateful to Beatriz and Seraphina’s Sanctuary for stepping up to help when these babies needed it most. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save lives.

If possible let’s help her with some kitten supplies.

I have added her wishlist below.
Most important item she needs is a incubator.

TEMPORARY INTAKE CLOSURE

This is one of the hardest posts we’ve had to make.

Effective immediately, Kindred Tails Sanctuary is temporarily CLOSED for new intakes.

We know this will be heartbreaking for many to read, because every day we receive messages about animals needing help—and every single one matters. Please know this decision was not made lightly.

Right now, we are beyond capacity. Our sanctuary is full. Our vet bill is overwhelming. Donations have slowed to almost nothing, and the hard truth is… we are broke.

At this moment, we need approximately $4,000 just to get stable and catch our breath.

We cannot continue saying “yes” when we do not have the space, funding, or resources to properly care for the animals already depending on us.

What we CAN do:While we cannot physically take in more animals right now, we WILL still do our best to help you NETWORK animals in need by sharing them, helping with exposure, and trying to connect them with rescues, fosters, or adopters.

But we cannot promise placement.

This rescue has always operated from the heart, but love alone doesn’t pay vet bills, buy food, litter, or keep the lights on.

To those who have supported us—you are the reason we’ve been able to save as many lives as we have.

If you’ve ever thought about donating… now is the time.

$5. $10. $25. Anything helps us climb out of this hole and reopen intake so we can keep saving lives.

Because right now, without help, we simply can’t.

THIS IS US… BEGGING. Yep. Full-on, shameless, on-our-knees begging.

Meet Marty… aka part kangaroo , part adorable chaos goblin, part professional heart thief.

Marty is a very young terrier mix who desperately needs a foster home ASAP — not because he’s a bad boy (he’s actually ridiculously adorable), but because he needs something we simply can’t fully give him in the rescue environment right now: one-on-one attention, consistency, and home life learning.

Here’s Marty’s résumé:

Expert in stealing hearts
Walks pretty well on a leash already
Olympic-level jumping skills (seriously… NASA may call)
Professional cuddle candidate
Extremely cute face weaponized for manipulation

What he needs help with:

House training
Continued leash manners
Basic puppy structure & boundaries
Learning how to just be someone’s dog for a little while

Marty is at that critical age where one-on-one guidance will make ALL the difference in the kind of dog he grows up to be.

We will provide the food.
We will cover vet costs.
You provide the couch, patience, and maybe a pair of sturdy socks.

If you can foster Marty—or know someone who can—PLEASE reach out.
