Meet Lazzara.
It means God has helped.

Where has common sense gone, y’all? We live in a world with cameras everywhere, yet someone thought it was okay to throw a helpless kitten out of a car window.
A local business caught it on their cameras, and now we’re waiting for the police report. Once Screven County Animal Control handles their part (we always follow the proper channels), this kitten will come to us at Kindred Tails.
It’s frustrating that anyone could be so cruel, but we’ll be ready to give this baby a safe, loving place.

We will need some help for veterinary care.

Here is something we think about every single day at Kindred Tails Sanctuary: Every time a foster home opens its doors, we can rescue one more.

Shelters and rescues have limits. There's only so much space, so many resources, so many hands. But every animal that moves into a loving foster home frees up a spot for another animal in desperate need. And another. And another.

When you foster, you are not just caring for one animal. You are pulling on a thread that saves many. The scared dog who needed somewhere safe to land. The shy cat who needed time and patience before she could bloom. The senior pet who just needed to be seen, and chosen, even for a little while.

You might not be able to adopt. You might not be able to donate right now. But if you have a home, a spare corner, and a willing heart then you have everything it takes to change the equation for animals who have nowhere else to go. One foster home is worth more than you know. 💚

Rescue fatigue is real.

Most people see the adoptions, the happy endings, and the success stories. What they don’t see are the sleepless nights, the emergency vet visits, the constant worry, and the heartbreak that comes with loving animals who depend on us.

At Kindred Tails Sanctuary, there are days when we’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering how we’ll make it through another week. Yet every morning, we get up and do it all again.

Why?

Because they deserve it.

Every abandoned dog, every sick kitten, every senior pet, and every forgotten animal deserves a chance to know safety, compassion, and love.

To our fellow rescuers, rehabbers, fosters, transporters, and advocates: we see you. We know how heavy this work can be.

Today we’re sharing a need from Helena’s Community Cats of SOWEGA. They are raising funds to help cover spay and neuter surgeries in their community.
Spay and neuter saves lives and helps prevent future suffering and homelessness.
