Below is an excerpt from a college application essay. This high school senior wrote about his time volunteering for Got Lunch and how it impacted his life. If you want your kids to have the same outlook on community service and give them the kind of experience that colleges are looking for, have them volunteer this summer at Got Lunch Newington.
Kids of all ages can come and help pack and deliver groceries to families in our community who need it. Visit Gotlunch.org, click on Get Involved and fill out the volunteer application. We welcome students, families and anyone who wants to give back to their Newington community.
