GRACE Cares

GRACE Cares GRACE Cares partners with communities on development projects using art, education, performance, and community engagement to bring about positive change.

GRACE Cares’ mission is to partner with local heroes and communities on small-scale community development projects that make a difference by empowering people to improve their lives. We do this with respect to local cultures and traditions. This is accomplished by helping to build healthy, educated, just and productive communities. GRACE Cares provides expertise, funding, and support for health, education, peace and social justice, cultural preservation and economic development projects.

In Baitoa, DR, Project Hearts delivered 101 household water tanks 🚰

These are distributed through a micro-loan system with 90% repayment already on track. The micro-loan structure creates accountability and keeps the system functioning locally over time. 🔁

Project Heart pairs WASH with youth programming and community health training as well.

In Kilifi County, Kenya, Watha delivered WASH training across 6 villages 💧

But the program also includes:
Beekeeping
Small-scale agriculture

It is well documented in WASH implementation research that public health behavior is tied to economic stability. 🐝

Training + livelihood = higher adoption and retention.

In rural Guatemala, GuateBuena supports savings groups and women-led production systems 💰

In 2025, communities reported:
- $185K+ in savings
- 21,000 artisan goods sold

Research across Latin America consistently shows that access to savings mechanisms increases household stability and decision-making power for women.

GRACE Cares sources funds to support this model running at the community level. 👩🏽‍🌾

On Feb 20, MYEP was represented at a school Open Day + Careers event in KAFWA Garden Compound, Lusaka 📚

Teachers involved in the program spoke with students about education pathways beyond primary school.

In Zambia, literacy gaps are closely tied to attendance and access. Instead of one-time interventions, MYEP focuses on both through ongoing reading sessions + school engagement. 🎓

Quick question: why do so many development projects fall apart after funding ends?

Because they weren’t built to last in the first place.

Our partners have the relationships, trust, and context. At GRACE Cares, we’re not building from scratch, we’re backing what’s already working. 🤝

That’s a very different starting point rooted in sustainable impact.

Hello supporters and friends of GRACE Cares,

Good news, we finally wrapped our 2025 Annual Report! 📊

One thing you'll notice is that most of our projects run on $5–7K budgets and yet, they’re still reaching entire communities and making a significant impact.

Our projects work because the people running these programs already live there, work there, and don’t need to “parachute in.” 🌍

If you’ve ever wondered where your support actually goes, take a look at our report found here:https://static1.squarespace.com/static/67ddc2fb9e858853abf39134/t/69c9b025b6cd1551c8fe2f7c/1774825509348/GC+Annual+Report+2025.pdf
