My buddy Gus drives me iiiiinsane. But I can't imagine not being greeted by him daily. He never lets me be a lump on the couch and always just wants to be with me. "KAHU" is Hawaiian for a pet owner, with a much deeper meaning. GUARDIAN, PROTCTOR, STEWARD. There is a bond between pet and man that transcends "ownership." We are extremely happy to announce that in an effort to promote this relationship we have selected Vermont Paws & Boots to be the Vermont nonprofit recipient of our efforts this year! A great organization ran by a fellow ARMY Veteran and retired Vermont State Trooper, Michelle LeBlanc. Thank you to all the furry heroes out there that keep us moving!

"I see value in the relationships you build" - Chief Jeremy Evans

Got to catch up with Chief Evans today for a quarter mile conversation. Like good talks with old friends should be, it went a biiit longer than scheduled.

Thank you for being a great leader and genuine member of this community. After responding to countless calls, sitting in many many roll calls and supervisor meetings over the years with him, the part of Jeremy I admired the most was his ability to stick to the purpose of the job, helping those in need. When my occasional resistance to change, or lack of compassion or empathy would arise, Jeremy always reoriented my compass. Brattleboro Police Department is fortunate to have you.
