We are excited to have Will join us as our 2023 summer interpretive naturalist intern! He'll be at the AIC sharing his knowledge and experience with visitors through out the summer so be sure to stop in and join him on one of his walks!

One of the many programs that we support is the Mud Season Movies series at the Adirondack Interpretive Center . Looks like a good lineup for 2023.

We are happy to announce our slate of films for Mud Season Movies which starts next Saturday and continues throughout the month of April. Some of the folks from Outdoor Afro Albany and Upstate NY joined us today for a viewing of "An American Ascent" and a very windy snowshoe on the trails. Thank you to Town of Newcomb and Adirondack Park Institute for helping support this event.

We are delighted to present the 2021 Frank Hutchins Adirondack Environmental Education Leadership Award to Caroline Draper Lussi, longtime Adirondack philanthropist. The Special Guest Speaker is author and Paul Smith's College Professor Curt Stager who holds the Draper-Lussi Chair in Lake Ecology and Paleoecology. Additionally, we will be awarding the Third Annual Community Service Award to Adirondack musician and educator Dan Berggren. Mr. Berggren will also offer a tribute to his longtime friend Peter Hornbeck, to whom this Gala is dedicated. Assemblyman Dan Stec will be offering remarks, as well as Paul Smith’s College President Scott Dalrymple and SUNY ESF College President Joanie Mahoney. API supports art in the Adirondacks by sponsoring the Artist in Residence program at Adirondack Interpretive Center. This year's artist, Christopher Rosier, provided two oil painting workshops, open studio time, and worked on the trail system at the AIC teaching visitors about different ways to engage with the natural environment.
